The Kharvi use Konkani language at home & Marathi outside as well as for correspondence. Their children Fish & these nets are kept hanging on the outside walls of he houses on the bamboo poles posted in the courtyards.
They do not have any plastic or graphic art. They are not known for their folk-tales or folk songs. Their proficiency in music and dance is not acknowledged. Regarding crafts they are very highly skilled in preparing nets which they used to hand knit, especially those used by the Raponkars. The Kharvis were also specialized in making boat, which they used for catching fish. The boats were made in two ways, one which they used for catching fish.
